Storefront Safety

Blockaides is proud to be part of the Storefront Safety Initiative, working to increase pedestrian safety through awareness and prevention.

The problem of vehicles crashing into people and buildings is widespread.  As part of its mission to raise awareness and prevent as many accidents as possible, the Storefront Safety Council collects and analyzes storefront crashes.  The most recently compiled statistics from the Storefront Safety Council show that these types of accidents happen “60 times a day, over 4,000 injured annually, and as many as 500 killed each year.”

A recent release by the Storefront Safety Council breaks down these crash incidents by age, cause, and site type.
